Welcome to our 2026 Program!
I Am What I Am – Celebrating Personal Identities Through Creative Expression
Come join us for this exciting program with writing and visual arts exercises designed to help find your voice, and to develop your unique story, resulting in works that express your personal identity that you may choose to share with the broader community.
Our writing coaches will guide you through 6 writing sessions. They are: Jeffrey Stocker, Timothy Moreland, Kit Kleinow, and Alex Buda. Our visual arts coaches will guide you through 6 visual arts sessions. Robyn Oakes, Lisa Cifelli Hodgins, and guest clay artist, Barbara Fiore, will comprise our visual arts team.
Candidates will join a teen group(13–18), or an adult group. Each candidate can choose to participate in the writing sessions, the visual arts sessions, or both. Candidates must commit to attending each session of their chosen art form as space is limited.
When: Saturdays, starting April 11, 2026. Session1 from 11:00–12:30. Session2
from 1:00– 2:30. Sessions1 and 2 will run concurrently in two locations. See below.
Where: TriVersity The Pride Center – 201 W. Harford St. Milford – Visual Arts (Sessions1/2)
DVA! Community Engagement Center – 301 Broad St, Milford – Writing (Sessions1/2)

Schedule: We start on April 11, for 6 consecutive Saturdays with the last day being May 16.
Session1 – DVA! – Teen Group – Writing – available to 10 candidates
Session2 – DVA! – Adult Group – Writing –available to 10 candidates
Session1 – TriVersity – Adult Group – Visual Arts – available to 8 candidates
Session2 – TriVersity – Teen Group – Visual Arts – available to 8 candidates
A Presentation Event will be scheduled in May(23 or 30) to share the resulting works with friends, family, and the community.
Participants may choose to present, have a secondary reader, or opt out as they prefer.
Empowerment photographs will be captured during the program resulting in a matted portrait chosen from a set of digital images.
