Richard Bloomer  – Treasurer

Richard Bloomer is the part owner of Carnation Home Fashions, the company he has been employed with since 1990 in various sales, management, and procurement roles.  He and his two business partners acquired the 70-year-old company in 2019 and after serving many years as Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Richard is now undertaking the role of President, and has launched the companies first ever direct to consumer ecommerce sales channels.  After a corporate restructuring in 2021, it was with great pride that the decision was made to move the company’s headquarters to his then hometown of Milford, PA.

Richard was born and raised the youngest of 6 children, in Port Jervis, New York.  After having lived for over 25 years in New York City (but always maintaining a part-time residence in the Tri States area), he moved back full-time to Milford, PA in December of 2014 with his husband Steven and their dog Bailey.  Richard and Steven chose Milford specifically for the cultural diversity the town offered, and after having attended several of the UDGLBT group events, knew they had made a great decision.  His interests include gardening, carpentry, cooking, baking and entertaining, and spending time with family and friends.

Richard and Steven recently moved to Matamoras, PA along with their four dogs: Lucy, Katie, Mattie and Katie-Red.
